Alexander Wang for H&M

Quote of the Day: "I'm not like most designers, who have to set sail on an exotic getaway to get inspired. Most of the time, it's on my walk to work, or sitting in the subway and seeing something random or out of context"
                      - Alexander Wang

Song of the Day: Buzzcut Season- Lorde

H and M has never been strangers to top designer collaborations from their first partnership in 2004 (Karl Lagerfeld) to their most recent release-2013 Isabel Marant. Now they have introduced yet another top ranking name in their folder of iconic collabs. Do the names Alexander and Wang ring a bell?

On April 12th, Alexander Wang finally announced his collaboration with H and M on Instagram (link) - after months of circulating rumors. I would be lying if I said I wasn't extremely excited about this launch which will be in stores November 8th of this year. Alexander Wang, creative director of Balenciaga, has always been a risk taking, edgy, crowd-pleasing designer. This will go perfectly with H and M's varying styles from grunge to prep.

Over the past years the Swedish owned company (H&M) has shown us different sides of them and by that I mean their fashion evolves each year and they reflect that by the designer they choose to collaborate with. But by far my favorite H and M collab is the Versace 2011 collection. It embodied everything futuristic, glam and edgy of 2011 at an affordable price.

See you on November 8th, I'll probably be the one throttling the old lady for the last in-stock Alexander Wang dress,
   Jay
